Our Story
Better Tomorrow Today was founded in 2020 by Joseph Njenga, an activist, youth leader, project manager and film producer from Limuru in Kenya’s highland tea-growing region. Born into a family of tea field workers, Joseph spent his childhood on the plantations and experienced firsthand the challenges children and families commonly face.
Joseph was fortunately given a sponsored education, an opportunity that transformed his life and inspired him to give back. For nearly a decade, he devoted his time, resources, and energy to mentoring children, supporting orphanages, and helping youth in the tea fields access education and guidance.
When COVID-19 closed schools in 2020, he and a group of friends launched a series of efforts to keep children safe and learning. What began as an emergency response grew into Better Tomorrow Today, a lasting organization focused on building a brighter future for children with stories like Joseph’s.
